Forensic Video & Image Analysis
Digital media recordings and photos are not always an accurate representation of what was captured. This is because digital video cameras use advanced compression algorithms to optimize storage and may display objects, actions and colors inaccurately. Engaging an expert to properly analyze your digital media evidence will provide an in-depth understanding of the limitations of the media as well as assist the court by providing impartial, objective, unbiased and independent opinions.
Media Conversions
Transcoding a video file from one format to another for ease pf playback in most free video media players.
Audio Clarification & Analysis
Through the use of forensic software, digital audio files can be clarified by removing static or background noises.
Source & Generational Analysis of Video Files
A thorough inspection of the structure of the video file to identify the camera that recorded the video, and to determine the source of the video as well as any software that may have been used to edit the file.
Video Synchronization
Video is a two-dimensional recording of a three-dimensional occurrence. This causes loss of depth in the field of view. In instances where multiple video cameras captured an occurrence, having the videos synchronized in a multiplex playback format will provide the viewer with multiple angles simultaneously.
Reverse Projection /Photogrammetry
This scientific technique is used to measure objects in photos or video. It can also be utilized to determine the height of an individual.
Media Clarification & Stabilization
Original digital photo files and video may be clarified if the photo or video file is blurry or when objects are moving quickly.
Video Slow Motion, Spotlighting, Time & Frame Counters
These are common techniques for creating video and photo exhibits for legal matters.
